Here's a recipe for chili that's worth writing home about. It's sort of a Frankenstein of recipes from various sources, but I assure you that it won't disappoint.

I'm calling it Chili con Awesome™ because it's chili...and it's, well, awesome.

Ingredients #

Tip: for an even heartier version, throw in a can of black beans too!

Instructions #

  1. Brown the beef and add salt/pepper to taste; drain
  2. Chop the bell pepper, tomato, and onion
  3. Mix all ingredients in a slow cooker (Crock-Pot!); don't drain the cans
  4. Set on low for about six hours
  5. Serve with Fritos, shredded cheddar, chopped onion, and/or sour cream as desired.

Bonus! #

Chili is even better the next day! Grill up some of those giant beef hot dogs from Sam's Club, throw them on buns, and top with chili and some shredded Mexican blend cheese. These chili dogs will change your life.
